Hello everyone!
Welcome to a new post. It has been quite a while since I posted something. This actually kind of has a reason. As you (might) know am I doing this just for fun, nothing commercial. However, It kind of started to feel like I had to do something. This kind of took the fun away from it. So from now on, I’m only doing things when I actually feel like it. So no plan for when I make some art, create some music or write a post. Now you might think; not having a plan is also a plan. Well, you’re right I guess. But I think you get me :).
But let’s get into what this post is actually about. The title might not mean anything to you. So, let’s elaborate a bit. LEC stands for ‘League of Legends European Championship’. So, it’s a tournament of the game League of Legends. This weekend, the finale of this season is taking place. One of the finalists is Fnatic. The other one is either G2 or Rogue (the game between these two is currently ongoing).
I support the team Fnatic, so I’m happy that they made the final game already. I’ve also been watching the game that’s currently ongoing. However, since this game doesn’t interest me the most, I drew something during the game.
As I said, I support Fnatic. Because of this, I decided to draw their logo. Normally their logo is just flat orange. I chose to deviate from this a bit. League of Legends is a team game which you play with five players. My favourite player from Fnatic is Martin ‘Rekkles’ Larsson. Rekkles is a Swedish player. I thought it could be nice to combine Fnatic’s logo with the Swedish flag. In the sketches down below you can see how I wanted to do this.
On the left, I drew the Fnatic logo with the Swedish flag ‘masked’ in. On the right, I drew the contour of the logo with my fineliner. You can see a kind of plus inside of the logo. This is the yellow from the Swedish flag.
After drawing what you see above, I wanted to give the logo colour. I chose to do this with my alcohol markers. Normally I use alcohol markers for blending or colour gradings. However, I didn’t have anything like that in mind for this drawing. I still chose to use my alcohol markers, as I don’t really have any other kinds of markers.
While drawing the blue of the flag, I accidentaly smudged some of the ink. It looked kind of ugly, so I had to improvise. I decided to smudge all around the logo. I imagined it to look like some kind of ‘fade’. I’m not completely happy with how it turned out, but oh well. Below you can see the final result.

Drawing this didn’t take that long, so I decided to make another logo. I chose to draw the G2 logo, as I think they have a bigger chance to reach finals than Rogue.
First of all, I sketched out the contours of G2’s logo. The result can be seen below. After doing this, I overlined everything with a sharpie. A sharpie is basically a permanent marker with a fine point. I drew this one with a sharpie, as I wanted this one to be a lot cleaner than the Fnatic one. The sketch and the overlined version can be seen below!
Right now, some of you might be wondering: “What is League of Legends?” Well, that’s a great question. I’ll try to give a brief answer. League of Legends is a MOBA game. MOBA stands for Multiplayer Online Battle Arena. In a game of League of Legends, there are two teams. Both teams have five players. All of these players play a different character with a different skill set. Both teams have to find a way to get into the enemy base and destroy their ‘nexus’. However, the nexus is defended by different towers. It’s a really tactical game where players have to try to get stronger. They have to fight the enemies and try to win the game.
But that’s enough about the game, let’s get back into drawing. The hardest part of G2’s logo is the shape. After I got the shape down, it was actually quite easy. I made some parts black with my sharpie. Finally, I added a little bit of red to the logo’s ‘eye’. The final result can be seen below.

Finally, I had a little bit of time left. So, I drew the logo of the LEC.
The LEC’s logo was actually quite easy to draw. Normally, the logo is just one colour (black most of the times). I chose to give it a little bit of colour. Since I expect the final to be Fnatic against G2, I decided to draw the logo in their colour scheme. Fnatic’s colours are mostly orange and black. G2’s colours are black and red. Since they both use black, I decided to make Fnatic orange-yellow and G2 grey-red.
The drawing isn’t that advanced, but I still wanted to feature it. it didn’t turn out great, it didn’t turn out bad, it turned out alright. The final result can be seen below.

So, there we have it! All the drawings I made today.
I hope you enjoyed reading the post and watching the drawings. If you have any questions about anything or want to tell me something, make sure to comment down below.
Have a great day and ’till next time!
